China pledges support for the continent in the field of technology development of green energy

Environment Minister Zhou Chinese Henksaan, who is visiting Nairobi yesterday that Beijing is willing to share its success in the field of green energy with Africa, at a time when the continent, the world's least developed, to take advantage of renewable energy resources.



The minister said that Chinese government is committed to the development of green energy. "We are delighted to share our success stories on green energy with African countries." He pointed out that "China will provide support in all aspects, including technology transfer and capacity building and financing within the framework of its efforts to promote green energy."



This is the first visit to the Chinese Minister of Kenya, which hosts the headquarters of the United Nations Environment Programme. He praised Achim Stinar, director of the program, in Beijing for the performance of a leadership role in promoting international environmental cooperation, and said that China's economy is important, "entered new areas" with regard to international cooperation.



China is the leader in renewable energy investments, has invested 48.9 billion U.S. dollars in 2010, according to the latest reports of UNEP.



The environment minister said the Chinese "China is a leader in wind power and we want to share our technology with other countries, especially the developing world."



And enjoy Africa's renewable energy resources are not used include wind, solar, even though most of the continent's population have no electricity.
