The arrest of an American and an Egyptian tried to destroy the statue of Shaheed Abdel Moneim Riad

Military prosecutors began on Saturday, with two extensive investigations, one Egyptian and the other U.S. citizen, for having accompanied by two others (fugitives) trying to destroy the statue of Shaheed Abdel Moneim Riad, located in the heart of Cairo near Tahrir Square.


 

An official in the military prosecution that the four individuals used the "elevator" to climb to the wooden head of the statue, which had caused him some damage, before being able to citizens by preventing them from completing their work, and were able to arrest the two, as if the other two fled.




 

The citizens Btzlimama to Qasr al-Nil police station, where he was listening to the statements of five witnesses in the record section, before being transferred to the prosecutor accused the military, which started immediately in the investigation with them to know the motives and circumstances of the attempt to destroy the statue of the martyr.
